Remote control ceiling fans
Remote control ceiling fans are a wonderful luxury that have grown in popularity the last decade and half. Imagine relaxing on your couch on a hot summer’s night, and you have to peel yourself off the couch and turn on your ceiling fan; or option B, you simply pick up the remote and with the click of a button, your ceiling fan hums to life and you feel that rush of cool, relaxing air.
It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that most people prefer option B. This is why remote controlled ceiling fans have become so popular. Many ceiling fans today are remote control adaptable, but there are several popular models that come with a remote. Here are a few of my picks:
Litex CA52OG5CR Cadoux Ceiling Fan with Remote Control – this is a 52 inch, 5 blade ceiling fan. The blades can be reversed and it also includes a Scavo glass light fixture in the center. It has a very elegant look and has a very rustic, late 18th century feel. Since this is an older model, it can be had for around $110, about half of its original price several years ago.
Hunter 23688 Royal Oak Ceiling Fan – this is an energy star rated 60 inch ceiling fan that not only looks good, but will save you money in electric bill costs as well. This is one of Hunter’s quietest fans on the market, but it is also still extremely powerful as well. The dark cherry accent is very pleasing to the eye and while it offers a simple look, it will fit in almost any room.
Keep in mind that if the two models above are not up your alley, then there are a number of remote adaptable ceiling fans on the market. You will have to buy an adaptable universal remote kit, but many of them are easy to install and run $50 and under.
